This page is a celebration of the three years I had with Wyatt - the first horse with whom I've had a mutual love bond. He's got a new owner now, and while she's still willing to let me play with him, it's time for me to move on and lease another horse to keep developing my riding skills and general horsemanship.
Journaling says:
"Some said you don't always do as you're asked. I learned you were new to English saddle and confused. Some said you run off with no provocation. I learned you were trained to gallop at a slight cue. Some said you won't stop tossing your head under saddle. I learned you want a supporting hand, not a controlling rein. Some said you're unbalanced and strung out. I learned you need your rider to help by sitting back. Some said you're too old to learn how to jump. I learned you love the new challenge and prance with joy on landing.
Then they said - I can't believe he moves so beautifully for you!
What I had learned - When you trust someone to listen and protect you, you take care of them and give everything you've got.
You taught me to become the horsewoman I've wanted to be.
For that, I thank you and - LOVE YA"
Always, Buddy!
