Had to try this! Bought a wood plaque at the craft store, painted it white and went to work! Basically you just create a scrapbook page on the plaque and then finish/protect it with this stuff called Envirotex. I bought the wood letter "L" and painted it. The "ily Anna" and other journaling was done on the computer. The Envirotex rocks! It's like a mega-thick laminate. Sorry for the glare, but the Envirotex makes a high gloss finish. Will definitely be doing more of these!

What a cute idea, and what a cute little 'dolly' you have! What size is the wood plaque, and will you hang this on the wall like a picture, then? I may be CASEing this idea for my DD room...

Thanks! I was very happy with the way it turned out! The plaque is 10x10. They had several different sizes at the store I got it at (Crafts Direct, St. Cloud, MN) and tons of great samples. I haven't decided yet if I'll attach brackets to hang it on the wall or if I'll put it on a shelf.
