For this card, I'm combining Tues. color challenge (choc. chip, pink pirouette and kiwi kiss) and today's Ways to Use It (one word stamp). I found this dp in a Christmas stack from at least a couple of years ago. The colors seemed perfect so that's where this card started.
This paper it definitely on the cute side and I don't have many cute stamps, since I don't usually do a lot of "cute". Somehow I misplaced the stamp I wanted to use so I used this snow globe set (Scrap Pack) instead. It says 2004, so I've had it awhile and this is the first time I've used it.
I stamped and embossed the base of the snow globe w/ the pink pastel ep on choc chip c/s. I made a reverse mask and stamped and embossed the snowflakes (Stampcraft). I traced a 4" circle onto white c/s and also onto a piece of acetate w/ the black sharpie and cut both out. I stamped the tree and colored it w/ markers, then stamped the snow and embossed it w/ the winter wonderland ep. I cut out two of the elves from the dp and attached them to 3 layers of c/s then cut them out again. This gives them a little dimension but not as much as foam tape would. I put the acetate over the globe and attached it w/ the star brad at the top and two little brads near the base.
I stamped and embossed the Joy (CMC) w/ the pink pastel ep onto the choc chip c/s and cut out. Then layered it a couple of times w/ the ribbon running thru it. I drew the frame around the 6 x 6 dp w/ a brown marker. I attached the snow globe onto a couple of layers of c/s then to the card. Three embossed and cut out snowflakes are attached below the greeting w/ foam tape. Dots were done w/ a pink souffle pen and a brown marker. TFL
