I created this card for sketch challenge #199...and it also works for the "ways to use it" challenge #189, which was to make a card using a one-word greeting.
I love this stamp set "Havin' a Pow Wow" from The Cat's Pajamas...
Nothing really tricky here...just layers and lots of linen thread! I stitched the bottom of one layer - I used the paper piercing tool/template from SU's toolkit to lay out the pattern (two rows of piercing), and used needle and thread in the pierced holes.
For the "HOW" greeting, I stamped it first in Yo-yo yellow, then did it again, slightly up and to the left, with Bravo Burgandy.
Coloring is just done with SU!'s markers (yoyo yellow, pumpkin pie, and ruby red) The middle "chief" penguin is cut out and raised on dimensionals, as is the bottom right penguin.
Both pieces of patterned paper are Cosmo Cricket (Gretel:Autumn) - I used both sides (flowered, brown pattern)
NOTE: My image layers look lopsided, but really they're not. I took a bad picture, and now I can't get the better picture uploaded here...
