Hello, I made this for Faith's (Markie's Mom) Tuesday chat challenge on the Flourishes forum. We were to made a non-traditional fold card.
This was my first attempt at a step stair card, it was much easier than I expected!
I love the Flourishes Poppy Patch set, and with Rememberance Day coming up I decided to make a faux poppy field!
The base is black, with a strip on very vanilla & certainly celery dp on the fronts.
The poppy's were stamped with versamark onto watercolour paper and embossed with black EP. I coloured the poppies & leaves with SU markers and a waterbrush.
I used the oval nesties to cut out the main images, and scissors to cut out the remaining flowers & leaves, then I glued these in place. I used the scallop oval to make the black mats for the images.
The sentiment was made with Justrite letters & the small rectangle block...this system is incredible! I stamped the sentiment in versamark onto vanilla, & embossed with black EP. I ran this through the cuttlebug with the tag trio die, and cut out the oval in the centre. Then I cut a tag in black with the same tag die & layered.
Finishing touch, the dbl. sided satin ribbon!
Hope you like it!
Laurie

Bright and beautiful. I may just have to have that stamp.
