I'm not sure whether or not I should post my card today. But today is my son Cody's 8th b-day and I wanted to share with you the theme I came up with for his card. Our neighbors had 2 extra tickets to the OU SOONERS football game yesterday. My older son Dallas gave him his ticket to Cody since it was his birthday tomorrow. Wasn't that the sweetest thing! Anyhow, long story. I wanted to do a theme using the game that my son got to see against Kansas yesterday. I started out by placing scraps of green grass for each step and lined it using strips of white c/s. The football players are from My Big Idea stickers attached to white c/s and cut out. The red one is held on with a pop dot as to the blue one with tacky tape. The umpire is from Sandilion stickers too and is added like the football players. I handmade the field goal post. Added the scores and the names to the posts. I used the CB bubbles folder for the football and the oval punch. I added liquid applique for the lines. It is held on with pop dots as well. The backboard is also a CB folder called hopscotch (may be wrong on that). The letters are lightweight cardboard already in the designated colors. I had for many years. I got the idea of the audience from "Hambo" and here is her card.Field Goal Pop-Up by Hambo at Splitcoaststampers. Thanks! I used my "pinky finger for the faces with tan ink, colored their hair, gave them eyes, and made them shirts. I could of kept going with this, but I decided to stop here. All the ideas that kept coming with this card. He loved his 1st football game and he loves his birthday card. He told me that he'll always treasure it for memories. He had a blast at the game with his dad.
Dallas will get to go next time. Happy Birthday Cody! TFL!
