I made this card using the Domino Set from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps. I made it as a friendship card for a friend that doesn't live closeby and I haven't seen for a while. But she shares my love of crafting. Hopefully this will get us to get together soon!
The entire background piece, which is layered under the transparency is stamped with the pieces from the set onto mulberry paper. I used Distress Inks to color each masked off domino/card player individually.
This is accomplished by stamping one domino and cutting the shape out of a piece of paper.
This is laid over each individually stamped design and used to pull the color around with a piece of Cut n Dry foam.
The overall piece is then distressed with Antique Linen, Tea Dye and Vintage Photo Distress Ink.
The Joker image is stamped with Memento ink in Tuxedo Black onto a piece of domino-sized Stampbord. I colored it with Copic Markers and then distressed the edge as mentioned above. I also touched up the sides with an Acrylic Paint Dabber in Gold. Finally, I placed two Tim Holtz Ideaology Fragment squares over the image at top and bottom and placed a ribbon knot (May Arts) in the center to separate the images symbolically.
These pieces are then arranged under and on top of a quad transparency sheet from Hambly, that has been cut in half. The two designs are folded in half to make a 6x6 card. The edge of the circle design was hand cut to make a scalloped edge. This is brushed over with an Acrylic Paint Dabber in Gold.
The sentiment was printed from my computer and edge distressed with the colors mentioned earlier.
The flower is a white / black polka dot design from Prima, which was colored with Glimmer Mist in Burnt Red and Sugar Cookie. The center is a bottlecap with a flower charm embedded in ambered UTEE. These are decorated with Copper Stickles which was also placed around the circle design and dotted around the scallop designs of the transparency as well.

What a lot of effort you have gone to with this card, the results are well worth it. A very striking card! TFS
