Yay, I got inspired to make this card while I was showering, of all places. I was thinking I wouldn't be able to do this challenge, as I couldn't think of anything creative. Then I had ideas of this in my head!
For the Pumpkin Pie:
Sooo, the Pie is created with the Large Oval punch as the pie, and then I punched a wide oval out of Creamy Caramel. I began punching out 1/2" circles out of creamy caramel, and layering them along the top of the wide oval. When I did about halfway around, I adhered the pumpkin pie large oval. Then I continued overlapping the circles around the bottom of the pie. This overlap layering gives the pie it's 3-D feel. I used the Tag punch to punch out a piece of Very Vanilla, and trimmed it down far enough that I can place it behind the pie to create the pan.
For the Piece of Pie:
This was trial and error. I took a small scrap of pumpkin pie cardstock, trying to eye the approximate size of a piece of pie, and then used the tag corner punch to snip off one corner. For the crust I punched out of creamy caramel cs with the tag punch, and layered the orange over top, then trimmed down to size. I punched another 1/2" circle of creamy caramel and placed it behind the orange at the top to give it the edge of the crust. I had to trim it a little, still didn't get it quite right, but good enough. The place is punched out of Very Vanilla with the small oval punch.
The Sentiment is actually a rub-on from the Seasonal Sayings hostess set, as well as the "thankful" border along the ribbon.
I didn't use any stamps, obviously. This wasn't on purpose, but going back to look at the challenge it worked out better this way. You could always leave the sentiments off, or use a more generic thanks stamp.
Hope you like it! This was fun, I like it when I can create something that was in my head. TFL!
