Watch out! This week the renegade Becky Oehlers has hijacked Sharon Johnson's Stamp Simply challenge! She didn't think it was fair to focus on the Stamp Simply team for a few weeks without focusing on our fearless leader! I agree! So, this week - the goal is to stamp like Sharon! There are a few things that stand out when you look at Sharon's creations - First, her elegant style. She is one to create "crisp" designs. She uses stamps that reflect elegance in nature, and she uses ribbon and lots of it. She also loves designer paper but she generally only uses one pattern.
Well, I got the paper in and I might add - Sharon loves those swirly elegant designs so this damask glitter paper had Sharon written all over it. I got crisp. I hope I got elegant! A wreath is kind of nature isn't it? The only thing I am missing with my card is a ribbon -- so I faked it and added a stamped ribbon!
My card uses one of the new sets just released fromFlourishes called Poinsettia and Boxwood. I chose to ink up the ribbon. I stamped it and then I masked the ribbon so that when I stamped my wreath it looked like the wreath was hung by the ribbon strung through. I stamped the bow a second time and cut it out to give it some "pop" on my card. Add a saying from the new Holiday Greetings set and some 1mm rhinestones and you're almost done! The rest is just matting image. Did you see that lucious paper? It's some of the new Christmas Glitter paper that Flourishes is now carrying!
