The challenge was to try something you've never done before. For me that was a gel card. I've had the gel sitting in my stamp room for a while.
I polyshrunk (is that a word) the starfish and fish and put them in the gel. I also added some glitter to the get, which you can't really see in the scan, but looks great IRL.

I just made a gel card. When I used color pencils to do the skink fish, the colors ran in the gel..so I tried markers...same thing..I took them out washed them..and put in new gel..they were both find...anyone know why? By the way, great job.

Pa Stamper, I just sent you a PM just in case you don't see my answer here.
I think the difference is sanding the polyshrink. I've had my colors run before only when I don't sand the polyshrink before starting. When I do sand it and use watercolor pencils, the coloring becomes permanent. I have no idea why.
My only guess is that the color sits in the grooves of the sanding and when it shrinks it gets locked into the polyshrink. There's my unscientifically based answer. ;)
SOOOOOOOOOOOO stinkin' cute!!! I LOVE the polyshink little critters. What a great detail!
