I was so impressed with this gorgeous card by Kittie Caracciolo that I had to imitate it. I can't say CASE'd, because, really, mine is very different from hers. But SHE was the idea!!! Here's Kittie's card:
What I did wuz...took a large-eyed crewel embroidery needle and threaded it with 1/4" white chiffon ribbon. Poked myself a few times, but "sewed" the ribbon onto the tree where the garland is on the image.
The tree is from Inkadinkado and stamped with Olive Green Stazon onto GA Pacific White CS. I wasn't going to sponge around it, but had to cover a goof. I use old phone books for my gluing and just a smidge of the ink from the phone book came off on the very edge of my white CS. Darn it. Actually, I guess the sponging kinda gives my tree a little glow. The ornaments are Gemstones from the Paper Studio and the "star" is from the bridal department of Hobby Lobby. What would I do without that store?

This is so lovely! Love the ribbon garland and all the embellishments on the tree. Even though you did not intend to sponge the edge it really sets off the tree... a happy accident! TFS

WOW! What a beauty. I think the shadow around the edge really sets the tree off.

Love this card and I think the sponging really adds to it by making it glow. The ribbon idea is great. I never would have thought of doing this even though I do ribbon embroidery! Thank you for sending.
