This is my card for today's Try a New Technique Challenge... This was an awesome challenge and I'm going to make a few of these for Christmas and fill them with cards.. I made mine a little larger so that they would hold cards and envelopes.. I used a 7 3/4' by 12' pattern..I used White CS for the box and scored and cut my pattern. I embossed the edge with CB Frills embossing border, then put my little box together. For the top layer, I cased the Fresh-Cut Notes from SU, I just love those, but the card is sooo small.. Trying to figure out how to make regular size card with this pattern.. I think I'm going to do this again.. I cut the flower out with my cricut Home Accents cartridge. First I layered Real Red stamped with Fresh Cuts with versamark and used white embossing powder, so that it would layer just under by cut out flower. I embossed the edge with the CB Swiss Dots. Then I cut the White CS about 1 inch short on one side, so that the embossed red layer would show. On the other side I stamped Beautiful Borders in Real Red. First I attached the white cs to RR and then added by ribbons. Stamped my sintements and then attached it all to the top of the box... Then I added the bow and the prima flower and the brad and leaves from Martha Stewart punch. Also added stickles to the sides.. These are so cute. TFL
