I've been trying to design some Christmas cards suitable for a Stamp-a-Stack. Not sure this is it. The word JOY was stamped in versamark and embossed with clear on the DSP then I brayered chocolate chip on the whole thing then wiped the ink off the letters with a tissue. The paper is still visible after many many layers of ink so I finally just went with it. This turned out better than I had hoped once I saw the muddy mess I had made. The build-a-brad with felt flower helped balance my letters since it is tough to see them in clear ink on such a busy pattern. TFL!

I think it is very cool! I like that you can see the pattern through the brayered ink . . . it you had said something, I would have thought you planned it that way!

I thought the dulled pattern, contrasted with the bright and shiny pattern, was intentional AND very creative. Then I read your narrative and saw that it was one of those lovely mistakes that happen, rarely. I think this turned out great. The brad and felt flower really do help, too.
