Well, I finally finished catching up all the back challenges that I missed while away, and this card is the first time I've ever done this. I was wondering what the purpose of ironing the card, other than to flatten the watercolor paper, but then I figured out it takes the "shine" out of the embossing and you can stamp over top of it! I don't think mine turned out looking like batik, but I'll be trying this technique again, only I think I'll put the plain water in the bottle and then touch the inks on the paper with a brush to get a "real" batik look. I might have misunderstood the directions, too!
But I liked the background image so much that I decided this card didn't need anything more. Simple is sometimes best.
