Jilly has had too much sun. I wish I was so lucky!! But what with the economic downturn she can't afford to travel for Christmas this year. Anyway she's been reading that these long-haul flights aren't so green either, so she's comforting herself with that.
But she's still had too much sun, so she's put on her favourite Santa sleep-suit, and she's heading off to bed to dream of a white Christmas.
This is for LSC187, Christmas cards with animals. Yesterday I used a real Christmas stamp, but I wanted to use a non-Christmas one too. It wasn't quite where I was planning to go with it, but Jilly has a real mind of her own... And its SC195 again too!
I stamped her twice onto white card with red and yellow chalk inks. I made her Santa PJs with the red body, adding some Stickles on the spots and glittery fur on the collar and cuffs. Her jungle scene is an Autumn Leaves stamp , stamped onto watercolour paper and coloured with markers for the tree and chalks for the background. The two other panels are Clairefontaine Papers of the World. All the panels are edged with Stickles. Her Christmas dream is a little Hero Arts stamp on the scallop, coloured with markers and Sakura Gelly Roll pens, and tiny little blue snowflakes round the edge.
We have friends in Mozambique - if they're not home on furlough this Christmas, that is where Jilly will go. Poor girl, no snow for her!! Let her enjoy her dreams.

LOL! I love your story to go with this cute card! Isn't it the truth that sometimes cards just take on a life of their own during the creation process, and the process becomes an adventure! This is so adorable!
