Good Monday everyone! Today's TLC was to try a new type of bookmark... one which goes over the corner of the page instead of a long thin more typical one.
My DH has a birthday this week and I wanted to use this Stampscapes image for his card, and he is an avid reader, so the bookmark was perfect for him too. The only difficult part was figuring out what to do with the bookmark to make it look great on the card but also be nice on it's own.
I stamped the image on GPW and used tons of inks to sponge the sky and water. I also used a few Copics to make some cloud billows.... trying to replicate the sky we saw over the lake last night.
For the bookmark I stamped the pine border from Great Impressions on GPW that I had sponged to somewhat match the sky. Ran Close to Cocoa thru the bug with distressed stripes folder, punched 2 circles which I also sponged with sky colors, and stamped Hero Arts Sentiment. The larger circle is punched and a brad is inserted then the sentiment is on dimensionals. This way, you can spin the sentiment to be "upright" no matter which way you are using it. I used my McGill Pine Bough punch to punch unknown green boughs and added some hemp.
Hope you like it! I think he will... or I hope so!
Thanks for looking!

Love the look and the creative process of a new bookmark, but I don't understand the folds for this. Could you give me some instructions. Thanks, Vicky
