I was visiting our local coffee shop, "The Daily Grind", and they had this insulated cup that reminded me of my 'The Cat's Pajama's' Stamps. Since I have a friend who adores anything to do with a Cat theme, I decided to purchase the cup for her....of course, I had to make a card to go with the cup. I was attempting to keep the color combination of the cup, which is stainless steel with Pink and Black. There is a ton of 'stuff' going on with this card design and I'm not certain I really like it, but I'll hang on to it for a few days and see if it 'grows' on me. If not, I'll try again. Of course, AFTER I took the picture, uploaded it, edited it, etc...I noticed that one of the silver pearls had fallen off the scalloped circle background piece....easy enough to fix, but I wasn't going to take the time to retake the picture....so kind of over-look that little detail (thank you).
The Pink Pattern Papers are from Crafty Secrets, and are part of a vintage collection paper stack. I stamped the cat image onto a piece of white cardstock that has a bit of shimmer to it --colored it with a light grey copic marker, paper pieced the little 'vest'--colored the glasses and ears with a Spica Glitter Pen -- cut it out and mounted it to black cardstock, cut it out again. Since it is the main focal point, I added a silver scalloped circle behind the image...cutting the circle in half and added the pieces behind the 'popped up' cat image. Lots of layers, flowers, velvet ribbon, and bling...that's it, done! TFL
