I have a really good friend who recently had a baby and she has this wonderful MIL that sends her EVERYTHING for her kids (clothes, shoes, etc.) Rather then spend my meager student budget on an outfit from Target when her MIL will send Nordstroms, I offered to make her birth announcements instead. She helped design them, but this is what we came up with.

How cheerful! And look how well you can use a wheel! :d

As far as using the wheel-- this doesn't show how many pieces of vellum I ruined!!! I actually had to order more to finish the project!!! I did find that cutting them down first helped me. The finished size here is 6x6 so I just cut the 12x12 in half first and rolled them the short way making sure to take my time. It was much easier than doing the full sheet at one time. --Heidi
