I made this card for Inspiration Challenge IC146. For todayÂ’s challenge we were referred to Mondo Dishes by Rosanna, Inc., a line of dishware and accessories designed by Rosanna Bowles. What a wonderful choice for inspiration! I found several collections I would love to have in my home, never mind my card collection, and I chose several to make cards with today.
This card is inspired by the “Beach Cottage” collection. I love the blue and white combination and use it a lot in my card-making.
This month, I have also set a goal for myself to make cards for each color of the rainbow and for each of the Dirty Dozen Design TeamÂ’s September challenges. This card incorporates both the color blue and the use of watercolor pencils.
I love this blue and white print vellum and it was perfect for this challenge. I printed and watercolored the rose and butterfly, and printed the flourish and the butterfly as well in the same blue as the vellum. I cut them out and arranged them on a piece of ribbed card white stock. It is unusual for me not to use ribbon or twine on a card, but this card seemed perfect without it.
