This past weekend Lisa Somerville posted about using the Top Note die to make a mini album. I've been wanting to do a mini acrylic album for some time now, so I ran my acrylic through the Big Shot and viola a Top Note Acrylic album! I had these pictures from my grandson's birthday trip to the zoo that I'd been wanting to make into a little book for him, so this was perfect. I used the Rock Star Card Elements kit (20% off Oct. 4-10th) and the A Perfect Day Rubons. I also used Rubon's from the summer mini catalog. I really loved the way it turned out!
**I'm editing my post because I've had a lot of emails and PM's about this book. I used my big rotary Carl cutter to cut the plastic to size. I cut it all to the same size which was 5 1/4 x 4 1/4. Then on the Top Note die with a Silver Sharpie marker, I used a ruler to mark where I wanted to cut the edge off the one side. I cut it about 1/4 inch in on one side. I just made a "tick" mark at the top and the bottom of the die. Then I lined up my plastic on those tick marks and put the plate over it. It worked well. All my pages came out pretty much the same. Then to punch holes, I punched the holes in one of the plastic pieces using the CropODile. Then used that piece to mark the plastic on the other pieces with a sharpie and punched them out.
Hope this clarifies thing a bit for everyone. Oh by the way the dividers for the Paper Holders on page 195 of the Stampin' Up! catalog are perfect for this type of album and they go through the Big Shot wonderfully!

I had this same idea (acrylic album using this die) and picked up some acrylic at a scrapbook store in AZ (nothing like that here in SW NM!). I'm glad you were brave enough to do it first! It's great! Rub-ons are great for acrylic albums too. My only concern - are the points to pointy?! Thanks for sharing your talent.

Just a quick note, this is thin acrylic not the really thick stuff. I don't want anyone trying the really thick stuff through their Big Shot as they might harm it. I purchased the album at a scrapbook store there were 6-7 rectangular pages with 5 holes punched down one side and tabs on the other side. I had to use my card cutter to get them all even before I could run them through the Big Shot. Hope that helps!
