This set of four cards and a gift box to hold them was made for the Featured Stamper challenge, FS83. I thoroughly enjoyed visiting DeniseÂ’s gallery. Her scrap book pages are as wonderful as her cards!
I chose to CASE “Happy 4th”, which features a dress. I so love paper folding and cutting, and even better, she provided the template for the dress in her gallery. Once I got started, one card evolved into a set of 4 cards, and then, since they are so delicate, I made a box to keep them in.
What I changed: It might be easier to list what I kept the same LOL. I changed the colors – mine are pink, yellow and green, plus white. I kept her basic layout – one solid piece for the background (I used a stripe vs. her allover print) and I also incorporated two stylized “brackets” for the upper corners. I made my “brackets” very ornate – so I could hang a coat hanger off one. I stamped and embossed flourishes and cut them out…. Verrrry carefully. And because I can’t ever leave well enough alone, I added some viney things and small flowers that I punched from some of the scraps of paper, as well as tiny seed pearls for the flower centers.
My pleats are a little different but the skirt is pleated. I scalloped the edge on the bottom and then added a contrasting scalloped border onto it as well. I added a bow, which she also has.
The box was difficult only because I’m a perfectionist – it took some time to get it… “perfect”. I decorated both the inside and the out to coordinate with the dresses.

This is so pretty! I like the feminine delicate look.

OMG.....this dress is stunning. You have done a beautiful job on this. No wonder you mass produced. I love how you have it on a hanger. And I especially love the little flowers and pearls. Awesome job on these! Thanks for playing along!
