I made this card for today’s challenge, IC144, which is to choose a print from animal photographer Catherine’s Animals web site as the inspiration for a card. I chose the “Vulture”, although I substituted a pretty bird for the dreaded vulture . I chose blue as an accent color because the vulture in the inspiration photograph has a blue ring around his neck and blue accents on his wings.

Stamps: Flourishes, Birds Galor, and Garden Flower (greeting), all by Inkadinkadoo
Paper: Scraps of beige paper flecked with dark brown; “Creamy Cocoa” by Colormates Worldwin Paper)
Ink: Creamy Brown and Dark Brown by Color Box
Accessories: Ribbons, Eyelets
Techniques: The hardest part was piecing the edging around the oval to match the circle. Getting the lace edge on the circle to line up perfectly was also a challenge.

Very pretty. A far cry from the vulture, but I can see where you pulled the inspiration. The blue ribbon is just the right touch with the black and white!
