I wasn't going to do a card for today's monochromatic challenge, but after looking at Michelle Zindorf's tutorial on her card today, I was inspired. You can see her card at Blogs at Splitcoaststampers.
I thought of all the storms and clouds I use to see when I lived in Colorado. It was almost a daily afternoon thing in the summer, especially after we bought out boat! LOL But then I moved to California where once the sun comes out, it pretty much stays out all summer long! That can be a good thing too, I guess. I sure miss those stormy days, so that is where this card is coming from......details.....
Stamped with black and clear eb the tree bg on whisper white. Took my cloud stencil and sponged the different shades of clouds. I added the blocks of rain here and there.
Cut this out, sponged the edges black. Layered it over black cs, then put it on a white card. The sentiment was stamped, sponged, cut out and popped up on the front.....well?.....TFL :0)
Hi Sis! How's the weather there? (she's in Colorado)

I love your stormy card. Growing up in AZ, I loved seeing storms. I still get an excited feeling when a thunderstorm is brewing. I love how your clouds look. Great card.
