I started out the day wanted to do the color challenge. I saw a card or two that had earthy colors and then I thought about how I could do that monochromatically. My colors are in the same family, but I think it would stretch it to put this card in the challenge for today. Too bad. I do like fall colors though.

The first word I thought when I looked at this card was the German word Erntedank - not quite the same as thanksgiving but something similar, gratitude for a rich harvest. Your colors and the rich textures mirror this feeling just perfectly!! Love it! And...do I know this little flower bug embellishment? ;-)

These are beautiful colors together! Love the texture and that lady bug is soooo adorable! You asked if it's monochromatic... well, I like you usually take the challenges pretty seriously and try to meet them exactly (except for a time or two that I just plain didn't read the entire thing and missed something).... so I really do appreciate your heart to do it right! But I also must say that there are plenty of people who use a lot more colors than this and never bat an eye about it. I have noticed on most of the challenges there is a lot of shall we say... liberality... so with that in mind, perhaps the idea of the challenges is not as much the letter of the law (so to speak) as just to get us motivated to create. I would say you have every right to include this in the challenge, if for no other reason than that! But let me pat you on the back for being true to the real definition of monochromatic. Big pats for that... and I love your fall card!
