-I punched a 1/ ½” sticky note to mask off for the sun.
-The background is brayed with two colors – orange and yellow on the same 4” brayer. I just continue going back and forth until the lines disappear and I think I inked up twice with both colors then once with only yellow (not the entire brayer).
-I removed the sun mask and continued to brayer without reinking and it gives just enough color to tone down the white.
-Next using a sea sponge I added the ruby red and only hit the sun area a few times compared to the orange.
-The flourishes were stamped first with rose red then with the black and its offset just a little with the second stamping; this shows better in real life.
-I first did some paper piercing, didnÂ’t care for the effect so smoothed that all out with the bone folder and reached in the garbage can and pulled on the black stripesÂ…perfect finish once I got those glued on and added the brads.
-The card base is stamped with ruby red and also ink distressed with that color.
My inspiration is from a couple real photos of a plane in the sun then I added my own touches with the flourishes etc.
