The focal point of this page was to be Louisville's Fourth Street Live and the brochure. But somehow, it became a page with a few comments focusing on our meal at TGIFriday's.
I photocopied the receipt from our meal. I sponged Stampin' Pastels around the receipt, the titling and the journaling on the carousel note.
Confession time: The title is stamped in Ruby Red Craft ink. I thought it was dry as I was adding journaling to the Summer Sun...it was not and I had light impressions of my pinky finger. So I took the Stampin' Pastels and sponged Ruby Red chalk over that titling.
As they say...there are no mistakes in scrapbooking, only opportunities for embellishment.
Explanation of the color selection: In this series of pages, this is the previous page: MSM's Downtown Louisville Buildings by mollymoo951 at Splitcoaststampers. For continuity, I needed to pull colors from these pages into my current page, without the Groovy Guava colors, so I chose the Ruby Red DP from Ginger Blossoms. Also, I wanted to pull in some colors from the brochure. I was amazed that the brochure yellow matched the summer sun. Now this page continues the previous pages AND will flow into my next page. Stay tuned!
Whatcha think?

What a neat idea to do a page on an evening out. Years from now you'll probably look at that receipt and think 'My how much cheaper things were back then!" LOL!

Nice cover on the titling "mistake". I think I like it better with the sponging anyway! Was the cow already printed on the receipt or did you stamp it on there? Inquiring minds want to know!

I love your saying about mistakes... my page today has a new embellishment cuz I went too far with my gel pen... and a well place button masks my sewing mistakes more times than I can tell you....lol
Nice page and challenge!
