This card was my "technique" of the month for my August stamp club. I was initially inspired by a sample shared by our very own incredibly talented Lisa Somerville using this same set and I think the same color scheme but with the faux dry embossing technique. However I went with the embossing resist to get a great but easy look using Upsy Daisy!
Am trying hard to use different techniques each month with my stamp club and we used the "shadowing" technique within the past year which is similar to faux dry emboss so that's why. Well, that and because I am sooo not a SAMJ kinda gal! lol!
The top layer LOOKS blue but it started out white, we embossed the flowers on it using white craft ink and clear embossing powder (white would have worked just as well) then after embossing, used a sponge dauber to smear Baja Breese ink over the images. The cardstock turns blue but the flowers "resist" the ink and stay white! Then layer it a few times and there ya go! I love the look you get with just a small strip of DSP...sort of like adding ribbon but easier and it really sets off the card!

This is a fantastic card. I plan to show case this stamp set at my Sept.workshops. The girls are going to love it when they see this sample! I didn't need one more flower stamp, but I'm sure glad I got this one. TFS
