This is my second attempt at the Journal Idea!! The first wasn't fit for display! I wrapped the edge and back pieces in mulberry paper and used it to back the front and serve as the hinge instead of card stock. I also wrapped the front large piece with us white CS. I liked the way it came out! I don't have a fancy cutter so I went on base to the frame shop and they let me cut my mat board. If I would have spent an hour it would have cost me $3! Cheap and easy!!

I think this is beautiful! You mentioned that you went to a frame shop on base, I was just curious as to which base!!! I don't have this set, but I'm thinking about getting it. Great job

I am stationed at Hurlburt Field. Most AF Bases have hobby shop, it is not only for vehicles but alot of them have ceramics and also a frame shop where they will frame stuff for you or for a small fee and training you can use the equipment and do it yourself. by the way I grew up in CO. Just north of Den in Commerce City. My family is still in Co in Aurora and Westcliffe. Have a happy stamping day!
