Yippee!!! I got to play today! I had missed yesterday's Try a new technique (faux dry embossing) so I combined that challenge with today's color challenge (to use Rose Red, Craft and Black). I picked the image by Anita's because I thought it would work well with the faux embossing, but I always struggle when I use too much rosy red... I like it in mats but not main panels so much, so I did struggle with this... but I did enjoy the technique and will definitely use it again. I stamped the image once in Rose Red on Rose Red CS, then again in Craft White. I used scraps for the white and black layers, running the one white layer through the cb with the new edge folder. I don't have the punch that makes the ribbon slits so I hand cut them.... not my best idea thus far! LOL! Added some black stones and done. Thanks so very much for looking!
Yesterday was a super fun day! I got to meet with Dawn (flowergal36) who recently moved nearby (only about a half hour away from me) and Dara, who was in NC visiting her parents. What a fun time we had. There is a picture in my gallery if you'd like to take a peek!

Oh, Grace! This is lovely! That rose image is perfect for the faux embossing! I can't wait to get back from vacation and give it a try! I love the ribbon treatment and the perfect layering! Glad you had a great day yesterday! I'm off to check out the photo!

Grace, I love how your card looks. My eye was really drawn to how you did the ribbons. I like the stone on the bottom. I am so glad that you had a good time yesterday. I'm just a little jealous. Wish I could have been with you all.
