I've got oranges on the brain these days. My husband has recently developed an addiction to navel oranges. NOT valencias... must be navels. And for some reason the navels are hard to find right now so I'm constantly searching my produce department for the right ones. . Anyway, I've been watching him tear into the peels for weeks now and so when I saw the challenge today I pretty quickly decided on my theme.
I used pumpkin pie and tangerine tango for both the paper and inks. The oranges were actually done with a rock and roll technique to make the peel darker, but the colors are too close to really see the difference. I used some raindrop shaped dew drops to make the orange segments look a bit juicier.
thanks for looking!
