This is my version of the project Carrie Cudney showed us at Convention. Loved this... and way too easy not to do a class for! Put it out with a sign up sheet at my open house and had people sign up immediately. Yeah! In January we will do three more holidays/designs to add on to the project. We're also doing a topiary using the 5 petal and three for you punches (can only see part of it in the background) and a magnetic "what's for dinner" board ... also originally created by Carrie Cudney. Loved her presentation!
Oh... and aren't our papers amazing?!!!! TFL

It's all very technical (wink wink). To get the correct circle size, place your plate upside down on the table. Ink up the edges of the bottom part with your ink pad and flip over onto heavier paper (like the stiff one that comes with our DSP). It leaves a ring for you to cut...Cut out your circle with regular scissors, and tada!
In order to reduce waste of our very lovely paper, I just cut out 1/2 circle in each DSP pattern, using our first cut circle as a guide. Mount DSP on heavier circle for long lasting durable use .
I changed Carrie Cudney's design based on materials I had, and actually like them better! Shhhh... Don't tell Carrie... she's wonderful!
Hope this helps... let me know if you need more info.
Thanks for all your kind comments!

I'm starting up more classes this stamping year and this project is definitely going to be something I try. Where do you get the plates? Better to have plastic plates or the real thing for class???

Just picked them up at my local craft store... but you can get them at IKEA too. $3 at the craft store, I think $1 at IKEA (but not sure if size is same).
