The challenge for today was to use the colour combo taken with teal, elegant eggplant and old olive.
I cheated a bit on this card (it's my third so I hope it's OK) to get one skin tone (the shading on her face and hands is actually elegant eggplant) and two browns (for the broom) but everything else on here involves the specified colours and the neutral of black.
I never considered Halloween but these colours are perfect for that, she was absolutely right. I don't need a Halloween card yet but I did want something for my friend Kim. We are going to see "WICKED" tomorrow night and she took care of getting the tickets for us - a very stressful 10 minutes or so online with ticketmaster. So I decided to make this thank you card for her.
Believe it or not, this is one of the very first stamps I bought about 12 years ago, before I knew about SU and before I had a clue about what to do with stamps as far as colouring and I have just about given these stamps away many times because my attempts with them always turned out awful.
But I have more experience now and I'm glad I kept them.
The witch stamp is by Visual Image Printery and the lettering for WICKED is a Inque Boutique set I've also had for awhile and was perfect for this.
I started out by stamping the witch onto whisper white and then cutting a mask for her and masking her off. Nect punched a circle for the moon and masked that off. The I sponged on taken with teal, then old olive, then elegant eggplant. I did this loosely but I wanted the sky to look ominous so I left it sort of patchy looking. I took the mask of the moon and sponged a little eggplant across it. Then I took my large scalloped scissors and cut a mask for the clouds and semi-randomly used it as a stencil to do the clouds in black. Then I darkened the edges of the main panel with the black. I painted the witch with ink from pens and re-inkers and as always very last I stamped the sentiment "WICKED" on top of it all on the main panel. I mounted it on basic black and then old olive and mounted that onto my basic black card base.
Next I made a second piece of paper the same way, except for the black for the small wording panels, cut them out and hand lettered the words on. I used black DTP on the edges, mounted them on black and then taken with teal.
I added the strip of dollar store ribbon and the Bella bling to the lower corner.
That was it.
Hope you like it as much as I enjoyed making it for my friend. I know she will love it because she also makes cards and is always asking if I will teach her how to make my cards.
Thanks for looking and have a great evening!

What an absolutely fabulous card. It is so awesome. Great job! I think that this is by far the best witch stamp I've ever seen. Too bad she's no longer available. TFS!
