Another color challenge, last week I did stripes and they turned out pretty good. So this week I decided to try curvy lines on embossed paper. I made my own dp because I don't have any dp in the right colors. Here's how I threw this card together.....
I needed an anniversary card for....today! Oops! Guess it will be a few days late!!! I chose this image so I could use a lot of the going away colors. In fact, the only color I didn't use was wild wasabi! I stamped my image and clear eb it. Colored using re-inkers. Cut it out with my oval nesties, embossing it. Sponged and doodled edges.
Made my dp by making a curving line stencil on cs. I then just sponged line by line using the different colors, on a piece of cs that I had ran through the cb using the mesh folder I just got.
Sponged the edges of a white card using purely pomegranate, glued on my homemade dp. Then I doodled the edges. Stamped and clear eb the sentiment on the bottom adding one dew drop in the corner which you can barely see in this picture.
I popped up the oval using dimensional tape. Well, this baby is headed to Colorado. It is going to my nephew and his wife. Hope they don't throw it away! I best put a note in it so they give it to my sister when they are done with it. I hear tell that she sells them!!! LOL TFL :0)
Hi Sis! Be on the look out for this one!

Absolutely magnificent Cathy! I think I've run out of WOW's for this one! The paper you made is stunning, I loved the card you did with the diagonal stripes and I like the curves even more! The mesh embossing looks great too, must get that folder. The image is superbly coloured and looks perfect inside the sponged nestie oval. I'm sure your Nephew and his wife will love their card and I'm also sure they won't throw it away. I think CJ is out of luck for this one LOL!

Very cool card! I would have taken the lazy way out and sponged BEFORE running it through the CB, but then there wouldn't be that georgeous variation in the colors! I hope everyone appreciates all the work you put into that DP...must been a lot of work!!! Awesome job!
