Whew! I was beginning to think I wasn't going to get to play today but finally, I got one done.
This is my submission for LSC179... make a card that will make someone smile.
OK... I admit this is corny... but most of you know our own Dawn (flowergal36) is moving this weekend to NC... she'll be 34 miles from me! I'm so excited to finally have someone to stamp with!!!
She is supposed to be in her new home on Mon. and I hope this will be there waiting for her.
It's a card that just developed... didn't end up at all like I had pictured in my mind. I used just about everything on it... definitely not limited... although it is limited in layers! I stamped the door image in Close to Cocoa and colored with Prisma Pencils and Gamsol. I cut it out and mounted it on a yellow scrap which I ran through the bug with the distressed stripes folder. I used another scrap of wild wasabi and ran it through the bug with the Fiskars grass plate. I hand drew the stone walkway and colored with Prisma Pencils. I stamped the tree, a sentiment which is inside that reads "May your home be filled with love", the house image on the envelope and also inside in Close to Cocoa. The fence is a Sizzix Die Cut, the truck is stamped in Stazon Jet Black and colored with prisma pencils then coated with Diamond Glaze for a shine. The window in the truck is a piece of acetate and with black marker I wrote NC or BUST! It is popped up on dimensionals. I added a couple other little details like cut out flowers with stickles in the centers, house number and a welcome sign. The ribbon was the beginning of this card but as I said... not at all like I was intending to do. I might just do a nice one too... but I think this will make her smile.
Thanks for looking! I hope her computer is packed so she doesn't see this! LOL!

Oh my goodness!!!! This is so completely perfect for Dawn! And I am officially jealous that you will be so close to her, and yet happy for both of you. She is such a sweetie! How sweet of you to have this beauty waiting to greet her. I know this was a difficult move, but how wonderful to know that she will have nice people so close to make her feel at home.
Your card is gorgeous! Thanks for sharing, and hug Dawn for me when you see her!
