I popped in from work to check on the challenge. I got tickled to see what it is as I use watercolor paper on 95% of my work. As a matter of fact....my hands get shakey and my right eye starts to twitch if I don't have at least two brand new unopened packages in stock as well as one opened one. I can't wait to play when I get home. Thanks for filling in, Lindsay!

Can't promise anything too great...watercolor is still pretty new to me, but I love shimmery.....maybe I can do both! hmmmmm....

I definately want to play along, but I was just headed up to the craft room (in our attic) when I crossed paths with a mouse. EEWWW! I had to kill it (double EEWW!) and now that has pretty much curbed all desire to head to the attic for a while, know what I mean? Maybe I can play tonight after DH, in his shining armor, inspects the rest of the attic for me. Thanks for posting, Lindsey!

Schweet! I haven't used my WC paper in awhile. *crosses fingers* I'm hoping my DD stays asleep just a little longer.

Looks like the challenge gallery is not working again today and we'll have to comment from this thread - poor Daven, et al - what a pain!

I made this card yesterdy and it just happens to fit today's challenge.
http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...0&ppuser=45829
inside the card:
http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...0&ppuser=45829
Ya know, I read all the time in the forums where people get upset about other people "stealing" their ideas and taking credit for them. Well, here is a prime example. I made this card thinking that I had ingeniously come up with something original. Later last night I decided to check the gallery under "martini", needless to say I was WAY wrong. However, the point is that I didn't CASE this idea at all, but there were at least 6-7 cards with the same concept as my card.
Hmmm...I wonder how often this has happened and someone gets slammed for "stealing" someone else's idea??
Something to think about...

For those looking for some help, there are about 5 different tutorials on using Watercolors in the Resources section:

Hope this can at least help get you started!

Nice thing is, you don't even have to use watercolor pencils or crayons. I used markers on mine (I am in the process of getting a picture taken, then I will upload) then I took my aquapainter (you could use a watercolor brush or a squirt bottle) and lightly traced over it to give it a softer look! You can use anything!
