This was such a perfect challenge for me. I had totally forgotten about buying the plaid maker this summer before it retired. So I got to play with it today!!

This is my card for this challenge:

http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...65&limit=last1

I used a stencil for the bg. I don't know what it is called, as it was packaged at a local store. the shapes make nice backgrounds, but have to be "pieced" as the owner cut them so they are about half the size of a card front.

I should have used a brass stencil but was too lazy to dig out the light box!

Default Sunflower Punch

I recently bought a reverse sunflower punch and was so excited to use it to make a stencil for today's challenge.

I really like using my stipple brushes since that challenge a few week's ago too, and love how I can layer colors on top of each other with a stencil. So, here it is:

Here is another one. I guess I am on a roll today. I haven't had this much time to stamp in a long time. I really like how this one turned out. TFL

I am so glad you did this challenge (thanks Julia). I have had my inspiration card in my favorites for a while. This was just the push I needed to get, well, inspired.

My Card is the CHRISTMAS CARDINAL. My stenciling was the oval . used as a mask and sponged with Night of NAvy and some Hunter Green.

This is from my gallery. I really enjoy the dry embossing and distressing on this. I will have to play again with the challenge.

Here's one I did awhile ago. I used a stencil & a black marker to do faux paper piercing. So much fun. I'll try to get another one done later.

Bon Voyage

Got out the trusty old cloud stencil for this one. Combined with LSC87.
Thanks for looking,

Here are two I have just uploaded to the gallery using Dreamweavers small grid stencil. The technique I used is called "faux tile".

I actually got to do a challenge this week! Here is mine using dry embossing stencils:

Snowman

Thanks, Julia, for the challenge. I find these really informative challenges too. I was wondering how to use my new stipple brushes and I looked back at a challenge we did a few weeks ago and learned! I have fun with these!

Here is my card. It may not fit the challenge really well but I had to make a card for a person who is going to Africa for two years with the Peace Corps and seeing the cards in this challenge inspired me to do the zebra this way so I thought I would go ahead and put it here.

I just remembered that I had the following card already in my gallery. I made it for my daughter's b'day invitation. She wanted a Hawaiian theme. I bought the hibiscus stencil for that very purpose. Part of it is stencilled, part is cut out by tracing the stencil.

It was fun to pull out all the old stencils and look them over. It took me a while to come up with an idea though (been a longgggg time since I've used stencils). I used an oval stencil and a rectangle stencil in this card, pretty basic, but fun.

Here is mine... Boo

I made this card for the Technique Lovers challenge, but I just realized that it fits this challenge as well. I stenciled the row of small trees using a stencil that I cut from transparency film.
