Here's mine. I went with something a little different than recycling cards. This was born out of necessity as I'm multi-tasking today, both getting ready for a workshop tomorrow morning and packing for a trip to dd in SC tomorrow afternoon. I needed some shredded paper for the bring-a-friend gift bag and didn't have time to run to the store, so scrap gift wrap not only did the trick, but qualified for this challenge. YEA!

Here's my card for this challenge. This was very difficult! I was looking through some cards I had saved and I couldnt bear to cut up a card from my sisters or neices or best friend or grandmas and moms and dads, it was hard. Then I came across a Valentine's Day card from my dh and it had a flap that looked like a bookmark that was pretty and I didnt have to "cut" it and cut any words or anything so here it is! Thanks for the fun challenge!

Thanks for the inspiration! I have a whole bag full of card fronts (Xmas, baby, birthday) that I just haven't been able to throw away. Now I know what to do and it will keep me busy for awhile!!

Ok, so I did this one early in the week and posted it on WT78 too. But I will start searching the house for another one for some print elements for this challenge.

But in the meantime, I only reused at small bit, but if you look at the hemp and tag on the "L" notepad, that is part of the original packaging from Target. Just turned it over stamped it and sponged it, then attached it with a Dimensional so the tag would flip over and say "two pack notebooks".

Here is mine! I am glad I used up a blank notecard that may have never been sent since it is much funner to handmake a card.

I was looking at all the other great ideas and remembered an envelope that my ds received with a birthday card. I sliced it apart and ended up making 3 cards from it with a few pieces left over for some other projects some other day. Thanks Julia for such a great challenge!!

I did another one. I had this scrapbook safari postcard from CM that was recycled into an african looking card. Here's wild living.

Default WT 79

This is my take on the WT79 Challenge. I really enjoyed doing this one. I have saved cards just for this purpose and just never had the impetus to actually do it. I thought that it came out nice, and it was so very easy. Thanks for this challenge. I did a second one that I will give to my Cousin for her birthday next month.

Hi, this sound like lots of fun. Can anyone join in? If so, I'd like to try it. Do I just post a reply with a link to my card here and put WT79 in Keywords? I really like a challenge (makes my little brain try to think outside)....How often is this challenge updated? Hope this doesn't sound too stupid, if so, please forgive me, I've just not been around SCS that long, but LOVE the site! So many great people! Thanks,
Jodie

I thought that I had posted this, but maybe I didn't (I don't see it anyway). I made my card using the picture off of a greeting card I had laying around. It looks much more pretty in person. The colors match much better.. for some reason I could not get a great picture of it.

Everyone's cards have been just so great. Here is mine...Friends are Forever

Default WT79 Secret Macaroni Wrap

For this Ways to Use It Challenge- using commercial labels and such. I took Pop Secret, Macaroni and Cheese, Reynold wrap labels and a McDonald's fry box and combined them! Stamped the image on a recycled file folder- that's Rubber Stampede's Blooming Watering Can. Here's my card: WT79 Secret Macaroni Wrap by Crafty Julia - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers

Heart WT79 Gold Valley Chicken 12 pack by Crafty Julia

For this Ways to use it challenge, where you re-purpose ads, food boxes, and such, I used labels from Darigold Butter, Nature Valley Granola, Stove Top Stuffing- Chicken flavor, and the item-12 pack- came from a carton of diet cherry 7-Up. I tied in the dairy graphics with DP from October Afternoon, and a gold button from a Sizzix die cut. The orange gingham ribbon is from American Crafts. Hope you enjoy this trip to the country!
