It's me, Sabrina, here as your hostess this week. As we're coming up to Remembrance Day (this year it actually falls on November 11, the exact anniversary of World War 1), I thought we'd also look back to World War 2 - there was a blanket request on this day in 1940: Times were hard in many areas of the world during World War II. Many Londoners spent winter nights in underground tunnels and shelters. Supplies of any new or old blankets that could be spared were called for in order to provide additional warmth for these people. So - bring out your blankets this week. This of course includes patchwork, so quilting dies can get a workout today. Images with blankets or quilts in them are perfectly fine too.
A special thank you from me to anyone who features Linus and his blanket...
Once you've created a card inspired by today's theme, upload it with the keyword WT713, and then come back and share a link here - that makes it easy for people to find your card .
If you're not sure how to add a link, here's how:
1. Open 2 windows or tabs: one for your card in the gallery, and one for this thread
2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link.
3. Go to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on)
4. Click EDIT. Click COPY
5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.
My thanks as always to the rest of the team who created these inspiring examples to share: Lisa, Cathy, Carla and Toni. Lots of cosy comfort and warmth.there.
Hands Up- I totally cheated today but really wanted to join in despite having little time. I've been making poppies for a year and am putting them up now for our Armistice Service.
Thank you, Sabrina, for putting such thought into your challenges each week....I love the history lessons now that I'm old (I didn't pay attention to history when I was in school! :rolleyes Here is my card for today:

Yes, I get that now so I see what you mean, but it was working fine when I moved the post from staging this morning. It was a trailer for one of the Peanuts films, not one I have on DVD so I can't remember the name. Something about a blanket...I'll remove it.
Sweaters and blankets....my fav. fall things...great idea for the Challenge...TY.....Here is my Quilt.

Probably not exactly the type of "blanket" you were thinking when you authored the challenge, but it's a type of blanket us Minnesotans know very well! :0)

Here goes another gallery-entry and challenge catch-up card! The challenge was to show things on your card that are seen in blankets, quilts, etc., including blanket images. My card depicts quilting by using a quilted embossing folder.
