Default WT510 - Ornamental Ornaments (12/18/14)

Hello everyone…How is your Christmas decorating coming along? By this time next week we'll all be celebrating! As long as we are in the midst of decorating…how about decorating the gallery with ornaments! Use an ornament on your card or project for today's challenge.

If you are looking for an idea to get you started, here is a wonderful tutorial by Chris on how to make a 3D Circle Ornament: 3D Circle Ornament Tutorial

And here are some samples for your inspiration:
Sabrina's beautiful card: Christmas Gold and Green
My card: Snowy Ornament

Have fun with your ornaments...I can't wait to see the festive gallery!

Remember to use the keyword, WT510, when uploading your project so that we can all see your creation. It helps if you link it up back here too. Here is the the whole gallery: Ornamental Ornaments

The Ways to Use It team will be back next week with a Christmas Day Challenge!

Need help linking your project? Follow these instructions!

1. Open 2 windows: One window for your project and one for this thread.
2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link.
3. Go to your project window. Highlight the address for your project. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on)
4. Click EDIT. Click COPY
5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.

I was really hoping to try Chris's tutorial. Maybe I'll find time to play along over the weekend, but we had our work lunch yesterday, so I just made a quick card for another of the VSN challenges.
VSNDEC14G Christmas Gold and Green
I'll try for a daytime photo after work , but the forecast looks pretty grey and rainy.

Heart WT510 Dog Buddies

I used my DD's gift to me- a knitted cup sleeve for my photo- and a sewn Christmas fabric, framed with dc circles. Finished with a 3D train sticker and a yarn loop. Here's Dog Buddies

I kind of cheated - used Spellbinder Hearts as my ornaments.

Love this challenge, Cathy, and gave myself permission to take 45 minutes out from house cleaning to get creative! I can't wait to peruse the ornamental gallery later today!

For someone who didn't think that they would be making a 3-D "ornament"....I'm eating my words, Cathy. I have to make 12 treat boxes for a gathering and because of your challenge, I decided they could easily be turned into ornaments. Thanks for the inspiration!
