Don't be intimidated! I've had all week to think about the idea! Some of the best cards are the simpler ones. I just didn't know when to stop, I was having so much fun and the kids were sleeping.

Julia, your card is totally jaw-dropping gorgeous! Now if I can just pick my jaw back up off the floor.... Great challenge! Don't have P&P, but I do have the mini envelope template AND the new card cover template from the spring mini. Haven't used either. I also like the idea of the file folder. Did you need the photo clip to keep that closed in your sample, or was that just for decoration?

Thanks Melody! The file folder will stay closed, I just thought it would be fun to turn the photo turn to open it. it also helped balance the design a little too.

I don't have pockets and pieces either, but I did get a library card pocket punch recently which I haven't tried! That just might work for this challenge!
Thanks, Julia, for the beautiful inspiration!

I don't have P&P's either....but I did check out Kimberly's template on the link below and she gave great instructions. I will go for it when I get home. Sad to admit that I'm looking here while I am at work. Gasp!! I know you are all shocked and disgusted.
Thanks for a great challenge Julia. Your sample below is just extraordinary.

No P&P's for me either. I'll have to check out the template. I have a doctor appointment this morning and have to have more lab work, so I'll have to give it a try later on, can't wait to see what I can come up with though!

Ditto! Just so you know, it's all JulieHRR fault. I read one of her threads back in July that pockets and pieces were going to be really popular. So.........I listened to Julie and bought them. Maybe they are popular but I haven't any creative ability to use them. Thanks for the challenge. Maybe after work I will pull out the pieces.

I will be back later as I have little ones to get off to school but here is one that I had in my gallery!
http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...8&ppuser=69062
I know it looks like there is just a tag slapped onto the cardfront but really there is a vellum pocket there IRL. The scan doesn't do much for this card
Alright, here's one actually using pockets and pieces, not fauxing here!

Julia, your card is incrediable. I think I should just mail you all my never used pockets and pieces. Unlike me, you seem to know just what to do with them.

Just so you all know...make lots of cards and they don't all have to have a pocket or file folder...you can use the ticket stubs, and other things too that I don't have a clue what to do with! My daughter is playing Nancy in Oliver at school so I just couldn't resist the pick a pocket title.

Yeah! Got one done. Making my own pocket wasn't so bad. I can almost admit I enjoyed it! Thanks for taking me where I wouldn't normally go, Julie!

I'll have to work on this later today. In the meantime, here is one I have in my gallery - the pocket is made from a piece of transparency!

I will definately have to put on my "Creative Thinking Cap"! LOL
Thanks Julia for such a great challenge!
