I was looking through my stamps the other day and was realizing that I never seem to use my shadow stamps. Are your shadow stamps gathering dust as well? This week pull out you poor lonely shadow stamps and use them any way you want in your cards or scrapbook pages and see what you can come up with. If you need some ideas to help get you started, here is a link to a tip sheet for using shadow stamps....
wow,, great challenge,,, I didnt know there were so many techniques with your shadow stamps,,, thanks Julie, how you girls keep coming up with new stuff to do each week, I will never understand...

Shadow stamps are usually a solid shape stamp that you stamp behind an image. Think of the little layers sets, Little shapes, Simple Shapes, Great Shapes, Shapes and Shadows and rectangle from All Natural from SU and Hero arts also has a lot of these type of stamps.
well... I had this laying around.... but would like to think on more (interesting) ideas, and possibly make some more for this challenge. Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
Hmmm...just received my Trim the Tree set today! I think that's considered a shadow stamp, isn't it? I'll have to scoot over to my stamping table and give this a try!
Not crazy about how the flower turned out, but I like the rest of it. There IS a large shadow stamp stamped in Versamark on the background too, it's hard to see.
I got to do 2 challenges in one! I have a lot of shadow stamps but haven't used them in a long time. Now I have the new set, I used it instead! LOL It's a simple card, but I'm pleased with the way it turned out. Wish I had some cording though.
Here is my first WT23 challenge. It is a good idea to brush off some of these lesser used stamps and techniques. Thanks for the opportunity.

The first one is very recent, I made it for my mom's birthday. The second one was probably the first time I ever used a shadow stamp, it was for my cousin's birthday a couple years ago. Thanks for looking!
Here is a new technique I tried off the Hero Arts website under their shadow stamps tutorial section. I don't have the reverse prints stamp set yet but I bet it would really rock with this technique.
I finally got one done just for this challenge that I'll show the world. My first one was a cute idea but I just didn't have the right stamps, so I came up with a new plan. The diamond design is what I considered the shadow.
This card was a save from a goof up for the sketch challenge last week. My diamond stamp doesn't cover the card so I have to line up one row for full coverage. Okay my line up was - not so good! So... I covered it with paper and this is the result. Here's my card
