I recently bought 4 SU chalk inks - and they have been sitting on my shelf! so glad to get them out and learn to use them!!

I learned something new today using the chalk inks (realized the SU inks were craft inks - something else entirely!!) luckily I had a few little sqaure chalk inks in my drawer! here is my card! http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...11262?cat=7221

Default Get well Julia!

Thanks for thinking of us and being so dedicated to get out of your sick bed to post the challenge. I made a get well card for you. I hope you feel better soon.

I can't get the colors right in the photo, but just imagine they are really Ruby Red and So Saffron. It looks so nice irl.

This bud's for you Julia

I've got lots of chalk inks -- use them with my clear acrylic stamps -- but I've got computer problems at home (I'm at work -- should be working -- LOL). Hopefully, my son will get me back in business soon. I haven't done a challenge all week. I'm having withdrawal symptoms. I can look at the submissions though -- before I go home.

I do have chalk inks, and I'm ashamed to say that I had to actually break the seal to do this challenge! I bought them in the Earth Elements palette when SU! still carried them and have never even opened them.

So I love this challenge because it gave me a chance to FINALLY try them out!

Here's my card - no special techniques on this one, I just love the look of the chalk inks on the flower petals and center:

http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...1034?cat=10364

Oh - and I also took the opportunity to use my new Build-A-Brad set again - LOVE those things!
