Here is one that I did using Metallic pencils. I wanted to try this technique for several years and finally had a 'need' to try it! You use an open image. Emboss on white paper. Color in with metallic markers using stripes and leaving some white area showing between the stripes. When you are done coloring the image, sponge black ink all over. The metallic pencil resists the black ink. I wiped the image off with a soft cloth after I was done sponging it which brought out the pretty metallic colors.

I cut out my circle when I was done and then mounted it on the wine colored paper. That's when I 'had' to distress the edges because I am really challenged when it comes to cutting around a circle without a guide. Should have used my little circle thingies!

Hope you enjoy and are challenged to try this on your own.

I am very late, but I finally got to do this challenge. I combined it with Fridays Limited Supplies challenge. I used both watercolor wonder crayons and watercolor pencils on this card. I applied different ways depending on the look I wanted. For the animals I scribbled on scratch paper and applied it using a blender pen. To highlight areas of the animals I colored small lines where I wanted it darker and blended it in with the blender pen. For the trees, I colored lines of a few different colors and blended them all in together with the blender pen. I was hoping to give the trees the mid fall mixed color look. TFL

Default Back To Work, Can You Tell?

Well, I'm back to work and behind on challenges, but I'm thankful I could do some stamping on my first week back to work. We've already had Open House, so that's done too!
Here are my two cards using Gamsol Magic.

Default Better late than never

Well I couldn't find any colouring pencils in the house so I used my watercolour pencils as regular colouring pencils. Hope that's OK? Actually, I really enjoyed colouring with them and I haven't used them for ages.
thanks for the challenge Julia.

Smile WT129 Vintage butterfly defined by Crafty Julia

I just love dictionaries, and butterflies, so here's 2 of my favorites! Ways to Use It Challenge #129, Better Sharpen Up, is highlighting the use of colored pencils. I thought this butterfly really looked better with colored pencils, and with some freehand spirals and lines on the scalloped circle flower. I cut freehand some petals for the button flower, hope you like it! WT129 Vintage butterfly defined by Crafty Julia - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
