Here's a birthday card I made for this challenge using a Stamping Bella image that's colored with Prismacolor pencils.

I was really hoping to do this in the metallic pencils, because I love to emboss black paper with gold embossing powder and the color it in with the metallic pencils. The colors just pop, but I could n't find my metallic pencils and I'm too tired from work to look any longer so here's what I came up with"

Thanks for the challenge Julia! I didn't know what to do with my pure color pencils until today when I read that Dawn L blends with baby oil! Brilliant! Here's mine:

I love coloring!!! Although...my favorite is with markers. Watercolor pencils are my next favorite though. I used my WC pencils, but didn't use water or blender pens...I used my white pencil to blend and soften the coloring lines. And then I TRIED to do cracked glass over my coloring...that didn't turn out so well. Ever have those days where you just keep tweaking it only to make it worse...that was today for me. Try to look past all that--I think the coloring is good. The flower from In Full Bloom is my favorite stamp to color.

I love coloring!!! I just had to do another one using this cute kitty. I call it Hello Kitty......but it has nothing to do with that silly children's kitty! It also worked for the SC137. I hope that you like it!!

I don't have metalic or pure color pencils either, Julia. So I will be anxious to see all the creations on this challenge. I used prisma pencils and gamsol for my card. Thanks for the fun challenge!

Ok I'm cheating - I posted this a couple days ago, but the coloring took FOREVER so I feel the need to link it here. Julia I promise to do another one and post another link - no problem for me, I love my pencils and use them all the time (only problem is finding time, boo hoo!). Thanks for the great challenge!

Default Scrapbook layout with stampin up metallic pencils

I hope layouts are okay to post. I'm really new here still, and it seems like most things posted are cards. Anyway, I am (hopefully) attaching 2 pics so you can see the close up of the chipboard that I stamped (using the Wing It and Carte Postale sets from Stampin Up--I adore both with their antique French style!) and colored in with Stampin Up metallic pencils. I don't know if you can see in the pic, but I used 2 colors on each either to blend (like on the rose I used pink highlighted with violet) or to highlight certain parts (on the crown, the jewels are blue). I love the smoothness of the stampin up metallics--almost creamy feeling.

My favorite colored pencils of all, though, are the Stampin Up pure color pencils. They have a glassy weight to them that is just wonderful and unlike some pencils, they are very generous with the color. They are smooth and dark and wonderful.

I know I sound like I'm one big commercial for Stampin' Up, but I'm not a rep or anything, they just get a lot of my money. Don't even get me started on my love for Rusty Pickle or one of my other faves. I'll never shut up!

I get brownie points!! (not sure how that really applies to stamping except maybe to your hips from eating brownies!! bawhahaha)

I used both Metallic and Pure Color Pencils on my card. Found out that baby oil also works on the Metallic pencils (knew it did on the pure color pencils but wasn't sure about the metallic so i threw caution to the wind and tried it!). Here is my Baby Oil City of David

Colouring Pencils ... how fun! I used my pencils but I have to say I much prefer my watercolour crayons ... and my Re-inkers and blender pen. BUT, it was nice to go back to basics! Here's mine:

Here are my cards:

Both colored with prismacolor pencils, but no gamsol (I'm breastfeeding. TMI? Probably...)
