This week for the Ways to Use It Challenge, we will be focusing on scissors.
I know you all have these, but if you are like me, you mostly use them for cutting ribbon. This week, let's have some ideas on what we can use them for. How about cutting out your images with them or making a different shaped card that is not the right shape for the paper cutter. Surprise me!
I know it is hot and the summer is busy, which is why I picked an easy one this week.
Please make sure that you put WT18 in your keyword section and remember to post a link back here so we can all enjoy your creations.
Have an awesome week,
Julia
PS You may use your paper cutter...I'm not trying to limit you, just want some new ideas!
I can't wait! I've planned my card out in my head; however my employers expect me to work here all day, so I'll just be sneaking peaks at what everyone else does until I can get into the stamping room.

Well, these are my first challenges in over a week. We just got back from Georgia Tuesday night, and today I am back at my stampin table. It may take me a day or two to get back into the grove. I made three cards, all very similar, so I am only posting one link here. All three are still pending, as I just uploaded them. They are all very simple. I went with decorative scissors to give a postage stamp look.
This was fun using decorative scissors. Easy but yet a new challenge! My scanner is not scanning very well so this card looks much better in person as do all of my cards so please forgive me.
I love these challenges and this is the first for this one! Oh so simple to cut out this lady. I will edit my post when the card is approved. Not sure if it will go thru, because after i downloaded it a bunch of error messages came up.
I forgot to put in my description that the bag says "It's official... I've become my mother!"
Now that I know how to do this I'm going to have a hard time going back to school in September....I'm having too much fun!
Here are the ones I worked on this afternoon:
I did one in combination with the Sketch Challenge but it's using the same flower as one of my others for this challenge, but it's nice how the cut flower looks with such straight ligns so it may help someone with an idea. Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
Don't know if anyone saw it, but the April 2005 issue of creating keepsakes has some really cool ideas for using decorative scissors to make funky 'combs' to put patterns on cardstock with Lumiere and texture magic.. I wish I had these things to play with but thought it might inspire someone who does have these products. Just thought is was a really cool way to use decorative scissors that I had never thought of!

Thanks for posting this. I don't have the Lumiere or texture magic. But I may be able to come up with something else to use on.
I made two for a Limited Supply challenge, when she asked for no images, only words. BUT the cards really seem to fit in this WT category too because the "decorative parts of both cards were created with scissors. Gallery at Splitcoaststampers Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
Just noticed these challenges and thought a card in my gallery met the requirements for this one (scissors) I did this as a shoebox swap at a demo meeting. Really easy. Thanks Shannon!!!
