Default WT1025 Can I offer you a caramel apple? Oct 31

Hi everyone. Happy Halloween if you celebrate, otherwise happy Thursday. It’s Sandy here with the challenge.

In addition to being Halloween, today is National Caramel Apple Day. According to a certain candy company that makes caramel candies, one of their employees invented caramel apples in the 1950s.

In recognition of this day, the challenge is to either use apples on your card or to make the predominant colors on your card red and caramel.. (Of course, you can use apples and lots of red and caramel if you choose.)

When you've finished your project. upload it with the keyword WT1025, and then come back and share a link here - that makes it easy for people to find your card.

Here's a link to our CARAMEL APPLE Gallery.

Check out the cool samples the WT design team cooked up for you.

If you're not sure how to add a link, here's how:
1. Open 2 windows or tabs: one for your card in the gallery, and one for this thread
2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link.
3. Go to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on)
4. Click EDIT. Click COPY
5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.

I saw this challenge posted after dinner, and stayed up to make a card. I needed a Thank You card, so this fits the bill and I can get it out in the mail tomorrow. Thanks for posting early!

The 50's? I was sure I'd seen them mentioned in books set earlier than that. The site I found suggested 1908, but whichever way they are still more modern than I thought. How interesting.

Love caramel apples, although my favorite fall caramels are the soft Werther's in maple, pumpkin and apple. I used the colors: Berries and Branches by jkanack at Splitcoaststampers
