WT80 - Stazon it!
Title says it all...this week's challenge is to find Ways to Use....STAZON! I love stazon, but I do think I need to use it more often. It is so versatile...it's permanent properties make it excellent for watercoloring and it will stamp on just about anything. Plastic, glass, acetate...what could be better. They also have some cool new opaque colors that are on my wishlist for next time I get to a stamping store. Show me how you use your stazon, try out a new idea or something not so new that you haven't tried before.
To share your work and inspiration, please put WT80 in your keywords section and post a link back here. Please feel free to share any tips or technique sheets you may have. You may link up a couple of older samples from your gallery, but please, play along and make something new as well. There is no time limit or limit to the number of creations you make for this challenge and it is not a contest. Just play along, learn something new and have some fun. Have a fabulous, stamping day, |
sounds great! Thanks for posting!

Question for those of you using it for watercoloring, do you find that taking a picture or scanning it in washes out your black lines? I used it for this card so I could water color it, the card has no washed out lines on it, they are all nice and dark, and yet in the picture the lines look washed out. Wondering if that is a staz on problem or something else?

Stazon, hmmm....thanks Julia!
|
It's not all washed out so I think it's the light hitting it in some places. Cute card!
|
Great challenge Julia -- only have black, but I think I can work with it!
|
Love Staz-on for watercoloring!! I used the brown yesterday for this card: feathered Hope
I'm trying a new technique with it today...hope it works out! |
Gosh, Julia! Stazon is the only black I use! :) No sweat!
|
Ooo, I use stazon all the time. Great challenge, Julia.

Cool challenge. I used stazon last night on two photo cards. This will be easy.
|
looking forward to it Julia! thanks!
|
I'll get right on it - no one is awake yet!!
|
Cool! I was just playing around with Stazon to stamp on an Embossed Resist tulip card for my DDIL.
Here it is: http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...what=allfields |
Ummmm?? Do I try to think of something new to do with Stazon or do I finish shampooing may carpet today. Maybe I should 'think' about it while cleaning. Thanks Julia
|
Can't do this one. I don't have any and I have no clue what it even is! I need to get educated!
|
Here is what I made this morning! I never did the altered game pieces TLC, so I got the push I needed, thanks, Julia!

Stazon is a permanent ink that will stamp on any non-porous surface. It is sold on page 224 of the SU catalogue but you can buy it in a whole range of colors at a stamping store and most scrapbooking stores. I think Michael's too.

It uses Stazon 2 different ways. Thanks for the challenge, Julia! |
Thanks for the challenge.....will hafta get to it later.....
|
Fun, Julia! I use black stazon on every dard that I make....well almost. I never use anything else when I'm watercoloring. Stazon is a great product.
|
Yippee! I happened to use Black stazon for the card I made this morning. So, here is my card using black stazon with the WWCrayons.
http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...73919&cat=4691 I'm hoping to get time to play this evening with my new White stazon. Thanks for another great challenge Julia S. I can't wait to see everyone's ideas. |
Oh - I need to make a coaster for my bedside table.....
No - not for my glass of scotch....(snicker)....for my glass of water (which I bring to bed every night.... I must make something blue!!! Off to create.... |
Here's what happens when I'm rushed..LOL. I tried to make a shaker card, my first. It was not as easy as it looks! I used the Azure Stazon on the acetate (snowflurries). After I finished, I realized I forgot to color my snowman!
Anywho, here's: My First Shaker TFL~ |
Oh yeah, one that I can do. I use Stazon all of the time, I especially like the timber brown color for watercoloring but here's one that I did with black http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...0&ppuser=84222, I used Stazon because the image was stamped on teastained paper before watercoloring. I will also do something new. Thanks for a great challenge.
|
I mainly use Stazon as my preferred ink when water-coloring, but we made these dominos at stamp clubs this month, using black Stazon to stamp the images. I also like to use colored Stazon to rub on the dominos to get nice colored backgrounds.
|
Made my card with FOREST FRIENDS . As usual the scan does not make the ribbon match the paper, but of course we all know it really does.!!I was going to shampoo the rest of the carpet that I started yesterday. Be back later to comment and learn of more uses for the stazon.

I have had this plastic front notepad on my desk to do something with for awhile...this seemed like the perfect challenge...

I tried the Pearly Window technique again...this time I actually had PearlEx...sadly my scan doesn't really show it neither "pearly" nor "gold"...I used Duo Blue-Green and Interference Gold...both show up nicely IRL...isn't that always the way!
I gave it a shot...here's my Grecian Urn |
My staz-on project

I'd only ever used StazOn for Prismas and Gamsol, so it was fun to do something different. Thanks, Julia!

I'm off!
Let's see how craft time with my three year old goes today! If you don't see anything in an hour, you will know something went horribly wrong. Thanks, Julia for the challenge. The wheels are turning!

Finally got mine done today between all the interruptions and DD home sick -- why is it that when you think you are going to have a full day to stamp, something else rears it's ugly head -- which reminds of RoseannRoseannaDana, if it's not one thing, it's another (I can hear Gilda Radner now). Anyhoo, here's my card:
