Hello and Happy Thursday Friends!

It's my turn to hostess another Ways To Use It challenge. For no particular reason, I chose thread this week. I was surfing Pinterest and saw some really lovely cards made using thread.

There are several ways to meet this challenge. You could use a thread image. You could stitch on your card. You could use a thread image...I found one in my stash. You could use thread as an accent or embellishment.

I also found a fun and easy (albeit messy) technique called thread painting. I have also seen it called string painting. Here's a link for a really do-able technique:

A
big thank you to Lisa, Sabrina, and Cathy for helping me out with some beautiful projects this week. Remember to use the keyword,
WT757, when uploading your project so that we can see all of your creations. It helps if you link it back here too. You can view the entire gallery for this challenge HERE.

Need help linking your project? Follow these instructions:
1.Open 2 windows. One window for your project and one for this thread.
2.In this thread, click on reply and type anything that you want to show before your link.
3. Go to your project window. Highlight the address for your project. (It says

www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto...and
so on.)
4. Click EDIT. Click COPY.
5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.

Great challenge. I tried this technique a few months ago pulling string...it turned out awful but I may give it another go...yours turned out beautiful. Thanks for the challenge. Happy day

WT757 petals galore

Toni- thanks for the great challenge! For my card I used a variety of mellow browns, greens and golds for my card base. I substituted a recycled clean gallon zip lock bag for my gloves, and added a pink flower on top of my thread painting. Finished with a cotton thread wrap. Here's petals galore

aztk: Dream Vacation Ireland

Hello,
It was so fun to see this challenge just a couple weeks since I did some 'sewing'. I don't do it often, but this scrapbook/journal went together with the sewing technique and little glossy accent glue for added stability. hope you enjoy my post. tfl, Teresa

WT757 web time

For my second card for this challenge I combined my thread painted panel, fussy cut, and glued to a spider themed background. Added a googly eyed Frankenstein, and a baker's twine bow. All mounted on bright green corrugated cardstock, with a calligraphy style sentiment block. Used a Halloween themed lap quilt for my background photo. Here's web time

This was really fun, Toni. I feel like I got a little hug from my Mom. She, too, couldn't throw away anything that was usable.

Playing "Challenge Catch-up" cardmaking just for the fun of it. The thread in my card is the stitching in the baseball hat.
