Welcome to the Thursday Ways To Use It challenge, Give Me a Second Chance! Carla here as this week's hostess. Time to go through your drawers and closets, pull out an old, unused stamping tool and put it to use.
I've seen lots of 2018 crafting goals to use your stash. I'm applying that goal to my tools as well as my stamps. That will help me with another of my goals, use it or donate it. So, let's give those old tools another chance and see what they can do. Don't make us guess, please tell us what tool you used and how long it's been since it saw the light of day!!
When you've finished your creation, upload your card with the keywordWT672 and then come back and share a link here - that makes it easy for people to find your card. It's especially appreciated by the hostesses!!
If you're not sure how to add a link, here's how:
1. Open 2 windows or tabs: one for your card in the gallery, and one for this thread.
2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link.
3. Go to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on)
4. Click EDIT. Click COPY
5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE. Here's the link for our WT672 gallery. Take a look and spread some love around by leaving comments for your fellow crafters! Below are some marvelous samples from Cathy, Lisa and Sabrina. Thank you ladies for sharing your creativity!
Brilliant challenge idea, Carla. Than you so much for affording me the opportunity to discover that my old unused Notch and Die tool will open up punchboard tutorials to me...and make custom envelopes even easier. The classy brass template...well, it might work with my new large circle dies, but if not I think its second chance didn't reprieve it. Hope to have time today to pull out my old Fiskars ShapeBoss. If nothing else, those old templates should be good stencils.
Super fun challenge Carla. It has pushed me to find all the stuff I have tucked in drawers that is not being used and start using it up. Thank you for the push!
I dug out my crimper for today's card..it wasn't that I didn't know where it was...I'm not sure why I haven't used it..but I showed it some love today thanks to you Carla :p Crazy Love
Thanks for the fun challenge, Carla! Now that we've moved & I'm starting to unpack, I'm finding a lot of unused stuff, lol. Here's my Snow Tweet Bday. Thanks so much for looking.
Carla, we should have this challenge once a month to use those items sitting idle in our drawers and cabinets. I chose the spritzer. I can't remember the last time I used it. I spritzed around the image instead of lightly stamping as the sketch challenge said. This is for this week's color challenge, sketch challenge and ways to use it challenge. Here's my card.

Reason: add link
carla- great challenge, thanks! I forget to use my stampin around wheel, so made a country scene- and added scalloped shapes for clouds- along with a crayon resist sentiment. Dedicated to my dear dad who I just visited who lives in the country. Here's Country Life

Love reading about the tools you are using. So far, you've inspired me to use my unloved spritzer, look through my punch drawers and my crimper! I've been reorganizing (yet again) my craft room and trying to make things more visible. Out of sight, out of mind!! ;)
Well Here are a couple of cards that I made using things that have not been used for quite a while.
This one is a stamp set that was purchased at least 6 months ago and hadn't been used yet. Finally Maid by pvilbaum - at Splitcoaststampers
So, quite a few things I seen people using on Thursday are things I still play with... so, it took me a while to come up with something I have never used. because of user failures...
Oh my gosh, you must have been reading my mind based on your second chance challenge to use old products/tools. I have been attempting to sort out dated stamp products that I no longer use. After making this card, they got moved back to the keeppile!
I rarely upload to the dry embossing technique spotlight because for me personally, letting a machine do it doesn't count! But here's some old-school manual dry embossing with a template , stylus and the Fiskars Shape Boss which I bought oh, lets say 15 years ago or more. I do, very occasionally, use the templates but it's been a while.
Fun challenge Carla, made me realize I need to purge. I used a very old tool to make the little tabs on the sides of the top layer. Thanks for the challenge:
I used stamps/ tools that have been unused for a great length of time. They are Spellbinders Pinking Circles bought in 2010, not used in three years; Arygle embossing folder bought in 2012, not used in at least three years; and Pinking Shears, are 50-years-old and have been missing for over three years...just found them this week!
Great challenge! I didnt have opportunity to participate last week, but I had chance today and chose my SU Jumbo Stamping wheel that hasnt seen use in years. Thanks for the push!
