WT538 Sequins!
 

Lisa here as your hostess for this weeks WTUI challenge.

I am so excited for this weeks challenge. This week we will be using sequins. I just love sparkle and adding sequins is one of my favorite things to use on a card for just that last bit of bling.

Don't have any sequins, not to worry, you can make a few. Here is a link to a wonderful tutorial: DIY Paper Sequins

If you're not sure how to add a link, here's how:
1. Open 2 windows or tabs: one for your card in the gallery, and one for this thread
2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link.
3. Go to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on)
4. Click EDIT. Click COPY
5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.

SUMMER GARDEN

Thanks for the fun challenge, Lisa! I wanted to combine sequins with the Camouflaging Die Cuts Technique from Monday. Here's my card:

I think I went in a totally different direction, making a shaker card. Looking forward to seeing other ways to use up the bag of 1,000 sequins I bought.

How fun, Lisa! I've just received a Unity order and inside the gift bag were sequins! I've never used nor purchased them before, but I have to play because now I do.

I had fun with my stitchery kit- doing a pink on pink card- using SU's Brighter Days for my sentiment. Here's Brighter Day. TFL!

I had fun using this adorable stamp set- isn't he the cutest opossum? I added a dc parchment circle for my sentiment, and red and green with my cardstocks and watermelon ribbon. Finished with 2 sequins and gold ribbon. Here's Hang in there to encourage a dear friend.

Would you believe, I've never put a sequin on a card before ?! Searched around the craft room a bit and found a scrap of silver sequin trim that I cut a few sequins from. I don't think I like it, but maybe the sequins are too big. Anyway, challenge completed : )
